Shipping industrial components comes with its own logistics challenges. Follow these steps for a smooth urgent delivery:
1. Choose guaranteed express transport
With a line down, every second counts. Always choose express transport (in Dutch) instead of regular postal services. Express couriers such as FedEx, DHL or UPS offer next-day or even same-day options within Europe. They get priority at customs checks and fly through dedicated freight networks.
2. Packaging for heavyweight items and fragile tools
Machine parts often fall into the heavyweight category. That means a standard cardboard box won't do.
Use wooden crates or heavy-duty (double or triple wall) export boxes.
Shipping tools (in Dutch) in the same shipment? Pack these heavy tools separately inside the crate so they can't damage the fragile machine part in transit.

3. Error-free customs documents (outside the EU)
If the shipment leaves the EU (or comes in from, say, the UK or Switzerland), the customs invoice has to be spot on.
