Postcode starting with 35 or 38? Choose the Canary Islands
Postcodes 35000 to 35999 (Las Palmas) and 38000 to 38999 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) are on the Canary Islands. Choose Canary Islands as the country when you book, not Spain. Only then do we create a correct customs invoice, because the islands are outside the EU VAT area.
Postcode starting with 51 or 52? Choose Ceuta and Melilla
Postcodes starting with 51 (Ceuta) or 52 (Melilla) belong to the Spanish cities in North Africa. Choose Ceuta and Melilla as the country when you book, not Spain. They are outside the EU VAT area, so the shipment needs a customs invoice.

How much does it cost to send a parcel to Spain?+
The price of a parcel to Spain depends on the weight, dimensions, destination and the carrier you choose. The calculator shows all the options side by side, with the exact price for your shipment.
How long does a parcel to Spain take?+
With an express service, a parcel usually reaches Spain in 1 to 2 working days. With an economy road service, allow 2 to 4 working days. The Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla can take longer, because the shipment goes through customs there. The calculator shows the expected delivery day for each carrier.
Do I need to arrange anything for customs?+
Not for mainland Spain, Mallorca and Ibiza: they're in the EU, so you don't need a customs invoice or HS code. The Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, however, are outside the EU VAT area. Will my shipment be picked up from me?+
Yes, your shipment is picked up at your own address. If you book before the carrier's cut-off, the courier usually comes the same working day.
Is my shipment insured?+
Every shipment is covered by the carrier's standard liability. If you want the full value covered, choose our transport guarantee when you book.
What is the cheapest way to send a parcel to Spain?+
Choose an economy road service instead of express: it's usually cheaper and takes a few days longer. Use a box that fits what you're sending, because with a large, light box you pay for the volumetric weight (in Dutch). In the calculator you can sort the options by price.
Can I send a large parcel to Spain?+
Yes. Depending on the carrier, a parcel can weigh up to 70 kg; with UPS it can be up to 274 cm long. Enter the real dimensions and weight, and you'll see which carriers accept your parcel. Sending several boxes or furniture? Then a pallet to Spain (in Dutch) is often cheaper.
Can I have a parcel picked up in Spain and sent to the Netherlands?+

Customs and documents when shipping to Spain
Because Spain is a member of the European Union, you don't need customs forms when shipping from the Netherlands or Belgium. Goods can be traded freely within the EU.
Do note: extra rules or restrictions apply to certain products. Relevant for business shippers are, among others:
- products with lithium batteries or rechargeable batteries (electronics, tools, equipment),
- machines or parts with traces of oil or fuel,
- aerosols, perfumes and products containing alcohol.

Shipping to the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla
Although these areas are politically part of Spain, they fall outside the European Union's VAT area. If you send a parcel to Tenerife or Gran Canaria, for example, it counts as an export shipment: a commercial invoice is needed and the recipient pays local taxes — IGIC in the Canary Islands, IPSI in Ceuta and Melilla. Please note: private courier services may apply taxes from the very first euro.
Selling directly to customers in these areas? With a DDP shipment you as the sender pay the import costs, so your customer receives the parcel without any extra charges.
